  9. German photographer Elke Vogelsang takes portraits, including ones of her dogs.
Vogelsang’s three pooches, Noodles, Scout, and Loli, are all rescue dogs.
She started on this sillier series as a hobby after she got Noodles and wanted to both expand her portfolio and capture Noodles’s puppy-like demeanor.
She's shot the pups in myriad positions, with props like eye patches and picture frames. But it's this series--Nice Nosing You--that views dogs from their very-important snouts.
Nice Nosing You is the rare set of photographs that can turn an otherwise familiar sighting--a dog--into an almost abstract bit of art, just by finding a novel angle.
Vogelsang shoots with a Fujifilm X-20.

Overgrowth is a new and ongoing artistic collaboration between photographer Parker Fitzgerald and floral designer Riley Messina

Inspired by a pursuit of beauty, Riley combines classically thoughtful botanical designs with Parker’s carefully considered film images in an expression of the multifaceted relationship between humankind and nature. The two artists contrast anonymous portraiture with sweeping landscapes in an attempt to capture both the malleable and untamed aspects of the natural world.
